Outdoor Complexes
| The Homestead consists of six
log buildings Ca. 1890-1900 which reflect pioneer life. |
|
| The Lumbercamp has four log
buildings. The 80 year old Sharrard Camp is the largest and is divided
into two parts, one for cooking and one for sleeping. Several pieces
of equipment including sleighs and the "big wheels" used to haul logs out
of the woods are on display. |
|
| The Mining Area includes The
Headframe for hoisting ore, a replica of an underground drift and underground
equipment. |
 |
| The Transportation Area consists
of the 1890 depot, a car barn housing a 1911 street car, a crossing house
and early shops. |
|
| The Victorian Area includes
the Carrie Jacobs Bond House built in 1890 in which the internationally
known composer of "I Love You Truely" and "Perfect Day" lived, and an early
one room school. Both are furnished. |
|
| The Art Complex is the newest.
The St. Mary's Church has been the center for summer workshops and art
classes. A new art gallery is being developed in the basement, an
adjacent home is that of the late local artist Brandon Giovanelli, an art
piece in itself with it's stained glass, copper tooling, bas relief and
ceiling and wall murals. |
